Day 1: 3D Printing in Dentistry

  • Introduction to 3D Printing
  • How to use Creo C5 Studio software
  • Preparing stl for printing
    • Models module
    • Model builder
  • Test printing
  • Post-processing of prints
    • Ultra sonic
    • Curing
    • Pin removal and finishing work

Day 2: 3D Printing in Dentistry

  • Hands-on: 3D printed guide
  • Hands-on: 3D printed model
  • Hands-on: 3D printed aligner base

Course objectives

  • Understand the benefits of 3D printing in dentistry compared to conventional techniques
  • Learn the technical skills to use 3D printing in clinical workflow
  • Learn the design process and post processing of the 3D printed guides and restorations
